Sensation: The fashion trend from head to toe is white this fall.

In New York City the change of season from summer to autumn means that fashion week is heating up. If you’ve been paying attention to the runway you’ve noticed it’s largely been about presenting the purest color of white as the forward fashion trend. Designer’s Alexander Wang, Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Lacoste, Isabel Marant and Alexander McQueen are but a few celebrating clean white looks this season.

Off the runway and outside the fashion world white is always fashionable in the eyes of Sensation. So it’s a great convenience that as the fashion world and all your favorite clothing stores stock up on white you’ll have many great styles to choose from when picking out your outfit for the first ever Sensation USA event at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Friday, October 26 (limited tickets available) and Saturday, October 27 (sold out).

White has a deep meaning for Sensation and attendees are not asked to dress in white as some cheeky “White Party” theme. Rather, the white dress code was instituted from the beginning as a way to pay tribute to ID&T (the organization behind Sensation) co-founder Miles Stutterheim who passed away in a tragic car accident. Miles’ funeral became a celebration of his life with guests arriving in white and DJs playing music in his memory. From that point on Miles’ brother and ID&T co-founder Duncan Stutterheim vowed to come together every year and throw a party honoring his life.

The first ever Sensation took place at the Amsterdam ArenA – home of Ajax football club – and attracted 20,000 clubbers. The following year, Sensation as we know it today was born. As a tribute to Miles, Duncan asked Sensation visitors to dress in white, just as people did at Miles’ funeral and eighty percent of the 40,000 attendees dressed-up in white, creating an image so staggering that the dress code has remained the same ever since.

Limited tickets are available now for the Friday, October 26 date through Sensation.com, www.ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 800.745.3000 and select Ticketmaster outlets. All tickets for Saturday October 27 are sold out. Sensation is presented by Bud Light Platinum.

Guests must be at 21 years of age or older to attend Sensation and white attire is mandatory.
