Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remixes Durante’s “Ancora”
Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Durante has announced his latest collaboration, as British electronic artist Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) remixes his debut single “Ancora”. The remix is set to drop on May 24 on Anjunadeep, marking the first release from Durante’s upcoming remix EP.
TEED, known for his critically-acclaimed debut album “Trouble” and collaborations with Bonobo and Porter Robinson, puts his own unique spin on Durante’s original melodic hook. The result is a pulsing and club-ready adaptation that blends the original’s catchy hook with a driving bassline and percussion- laden grooves.
Durante’s debut album “Enter”, released on Anjunadeep in April 2024, has already gained attention for its eclectic sound, which draws inspiration from Duke Ellington, classic Italo-disco, and early Cocoon records. The album features collaborations with a range of artists, including CRi, Nathan Nicholson, Running Touch, HANA, and SOHN.
The remix of “Ancora” is a testament to Durante’s growing reputation as a versatile producer, having earned praise from esteemed artists such as Bonobo, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Joris Voorn, and collaborating with the likes of Diplo and Aluna.
