Out on March 4th: Emma Hewitt – ‘Crucify’

Some singers don’t just light up a room when they sing, they move an entire arena. Emma Hewitt is one of them. Through the songs of her debut album ‘Burn The Sky Down’, the Australian songstress strives to take the listener beyond the expected. And her new single release ‘Crucify’ is no exception.

Warmed up by her ‘Colours’, ‘Rewind’, ‘Foolish Boy’ and ‘Miss You Paradise’, it’s now the mysterious ‘Crucify’ that’s set to conquer the hearts of its listeners. An emotional yet powerful beat-ballad with sharp edges, sweeping violin and of course the characteristic voice of Emma to guide you through the dark hours. ‘Crucify’ doesn’t only come with a stunning original, but also brings a set of remixes.

The official ‘Crucify’ remix contest brought an abundance of quality remixes. But the one that stood out most, was the Cold Rush remix. The Estonian duo of Erkki Abel and Robert Roost were named the winner, and for good reason. Their remix of ‘Crucify’ is driven by a dark, proggy depth, but also unfolds a warm, synthy break.

Ukrainian producer Zetandel provided a warming Chillout remix, lush and ethereal, while LA’s most wanted, Clinton vanSciver, cracks the code by turning ‘Crucify’ into an eclectic affair of electro-house, prog and sugar-sweet melody.
