Westend and Kick & Bass Launch Community-Driven Record Label

Westend and Kick & Bass have launched a first-of-its-kind community-driven record label, providing a platform for emerging producers to release their music. The label is an extension of the existing Kick & Bass learning community, which offers coaching, feedback, and tutorials to its members.

The label, also called Kick & Bass Records, will feature monthly singles and will be backed by independent marketing agency CIRCA, which will provide distribution and marketing services. The debut release comes from ALP, with the single “Raw” available now on all major platforms.

According to Westend, the label is the final piece of a multi-year plan to transform Kick & Bass into a full artist development ecosystem. “No one’s really done this before,” he says. “There are lots of labels, but there’s nothing that combines education, community, mentorship, and a release platform like this.”

The label will feature a range of genres, from tech house to commercial-leaning house, and will provide a built-in support system for its artists, with the community rallying around each other to promote releases and provide feedback.
