Amelie Lens and EXHALE Celebrate 5 Years With Groundbreaking VA007 Compilation
Amelie Lens, one of electronic music’s most revered figures, marks five years of her imprint EXHALE with a dual release: her fiery new single “Activate” and the seventh installment of EXHALE’s acclaimed VA compilation series, Exhale VA007. The project, released November 28, 2025, showcases the label’s evolution from its underground wildfire phase to a global force in future techno.
Since its 2020 launch in Hasselt’s Labyrinth Club, EXHALE has redefined techno culture through a focus on DIY ethics, curatorial excellence, and a knack for unveiling rising talent. Lens’ meticulous lineup-building has championed artists like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, and RØdhÃ¥d, while earning the label a roster of international showcases at ADE, Tomorrowland, and Creamfields.
Exhale VA007 delivers a 13-track journey through today’s most compelling techno, blending returners like Flour (known for “Love It”) and newcomers such as Jomaa from Gaza with the potent “Free Bird” and Carla Schmitt’s sultry “Look At Me.” The compilation’s highlight features Lens’ own “Activate”—a pulsating techno anthem combining blistering kick drums, trance-infused melodies, and a drop engineered for maximum dancefloor impact.
