World AIDS Day is on December 1st and as part of the DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES campaign that sees some of the world’s biggest dance artists unite for the first time to fight AIDS, Tiësto and Laidback Luke are asking their fans to donate to help deliver an AIDS FREE GENERATION by 2015. In six years (RED) has raised $200 million to fight AIDS with 100% of that money going to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the world’s leading financier of programs to fight these three diseases.

Tiësto and Laidback Luke are asking their fans to donate on (RED)’s CrowdRise page and in addition to Tiësto’s pledge to match the first $100,000 donations dollar for dollar both artists are offering their fans unique prizes in exchange for donations to the cause. These prizes range from personal thank yous, to merchandise, meet and greets and even the chance to get entered to win a flyaway for two to see Tiësto play at New Year’s Eve in Atlantic City. To see a full list of the prizes on offer and to donate to (RED) go to www.crowdrise.com/DanceREDSaveLives

Speaking about the campaign, actor Edward Norton, founder of CrowdRise said: “The maestros of dance music are using technology in such a big way to fight AIDS this World AIDS Day. We set up CrowdRise to merge generosity with technology and the DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES campaign does just that. Fans have a fun and easy way to support the cause their artist is most passionate about.”

The DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES campaign also consists of an album featuring an exclusive collaboration between Tiësto and Bono on U2’s track, ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’. In addition, on World AIDS Day, Tiësto, Laidback Luke, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Martin Solveig and many more artists are livestreaming their sets from Stereosonic Melbourne 2012 to help fight AIDS. The livestream is powered by YouTube and is available on December 1st and 2nd on (RED)’s YouTube page.
