Alex Gray feat. Will Diamond – Life Is (MODA Top)

Italian House Supremo Alex Gray has hit the ball out of the park with the huge forthcoming single ‘Life Is’. Back on MODA, Alex follows up his recent smash with Richard Grey with this stormy Electro House smash. The gritty and ripping bassline offers a surprisingly perfect contrast to the smooth vocals of French vocal talent Will Diamond. Pristine sound quality is a reoccurring feature of Alex Gray’s impressive discography, but ‘Life Is’ leaves behind his usual Progressive House structure, instead opting for a beautiful juxtaposition of harsh bass and Will’s prominent vocal, resulting in a House hit that blurs the borders of dark and light exquisitely. Laced with the track’s intelligently constructed risers and climaxes, the electric guitar lead throws another curveball into this undeniable smash that has ignored the rules of sub genres and resulted in an anthem that will cause huge damage on the dance floor. There are little to no tracks around in 2012 that have merged sounds typical of varying genres with this level of skill and relevance. In an electronic music world split by sounds and forms, it is totally stimulating to hear fusion of sounds done to such a high level.
